Bamboo Garden Collection
The final project of my first year at FIDM
Sadly, it is the last work I'll be doing as a student at the school. Due to financial and housing issues, I've gone back home. But fortunately, I'm very very happy at home.

Daily DeviationFashion Week 7 Took a while to find Bamboo Garden Collection by *lashanathao but after some suggestions I settled on this deviation as final installment of 'Fashion Week' which was really inspired by http://news.deviantart.com/article/26508/. I really really love the style in this peice. Apart from 'stylish' another word that describes these pieces is 'sexy'. Truly great work. (Suggested by ~MadStar and Featured by `depthskins)

Wow!!! That is a georgeous collection! Why are you leaving the school...its such a waste of talent... God what hope does that leave for me, I hope you sort it out...and I am sooo faving this!
Very innovative and very you. I love all of the colors and fabrics and silhouettes and shapes! It's sad to hear that though...I'm very sure you would have gone far. I hope whatever you decide to do includes art or design of some sort...because you are very good at it! I hope your boyfriend and you are having a Merry Christmas! :santa: Good luck, Shani!

I have always tried to design things that are unapologetically beautiful, and I don't think there's anything wrong with that. If I can inspire an appreciation for grace and elegance, that would be the ultimate fulfillment of my life's ambition.
this is so very u innovative and inspiring...so sorry to hear about FIDM's loss of a great student but u know what u can still design...go to fashion houses and drop ur resume...dey are open to designers...and u can prolly start as assistant designer and den later launch ur own label

"Everybody needs a little piece of sanity! Mmm, cheese... :cheese::chew:
I love the color choice. You pay alot of attention to detail and it pays off cause it looks incredable! And i love the fabric squares. Adorable.
Thank you, I really wanted to impress my instructor and collegues with this collection so detail was a MUST. hehe... thank you for your kind words.
Hehe thank you^^ I think with the knowledge of what I learned at FIDM, I might actually stray away from the fashion industry though... it's just... sooo intense...
thank you^^ i for sure know that I want to design something in my life... own my own business and be happy, even if it's not in the fashion world
^^ Good for you Shani!!! :santa: I hope all of your dreams come true.
